We are recruiting for a Head of Property Services to join our team in Corporate Services.

£63,385 including London weighting allowance if applicable.


Contract type:
Full Time, Permanent


Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility will be required to occasionally work out of hours due to property-related emergencies. Mitigations will be put in place to ensure these occasions are rare, and TOIL will be claimable.

On any given day our services support thousands of women and their children, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logístical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives.


We are seeking a Head of Property Services who will be central to ensuring that our property estate is not only safe and compliant, but that it provides the warm and welcoming environment that survivors of domestic abuse need to begin a new life, free from fear.


Through your wide-ranging expertise across both residential and commercial property management, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to raise standards as a key enabler in the delivery of Refuge's strategy.


You will have specialist knowledge to ensure we meet all legal, health and safety and regulatory requirements related to property services, including those of a Registered Social Landlord.

You be an effective communicator who will work with our service delivery team to develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure our properties remain compliant.

You will have experience of working in a resource-constrained setting, building up the Property function over time and developing a customer-focused culture that adds value at every turn.
