Simpson Judge have been engaged on an Interim global Finance Director role for a period of 3-6 months on behalf of a charitable organisation in Manchester.

This role will report into the CEO and will oversee all financial processes globally, provide strategic and financial guidance and develop policies and procedures to ensure sound financial control.

This role can be 2-5 days per week depending on preference and can be worked remotely as travel to Manchester will only be required twice per month.

Day rate is negotiable depending on experience. Applicants are required to be available at short notice.


Responsibilities:


  • Overseeing accounts and investments globally
  • Monthly and annual reporting to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
  • Overseeing cashflow through tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports, involving the consolidation of international management accounts
  • Supervision and management of global finance teams and working with Finance Managers
  • Providing assurance and oversight for each office to ensure efficient and timely monthend close
  • Ensuring that all international financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
  • Conducting effective treasury management and cashflow forecasting
  • Improving foreign exchange processes, ensuring lowest possible exchange rates
  • Reviewing all office financial plans and budgets, regularly looking for cost reduction opportunities
  • Partnering with Finance Managers and Internal Audit to ensure compliance in accordance with all regulations, policies, procedures and protocols
  • Providing oversight and assurance of financial systems and processes in place, ensuring that the procedures and deadlines are followed meticulously throughout all offices
  • Acting as first point of contact for all global finance related enquiries, including disputed issues
  • Periodic monitoring and reviews of the financial policy framework, standard operating procedures, workflows, SLAs etc
  • Overseeing statutory accounts, ensuring they are prepared in accordance with SORP and that all audit files are maintained to the highest standards

Requirements:


  • Available at short notice
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Significant experience of global Finance in a charity
  • Proven leadership skills
