Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Legal Cashier with a proven track record to join the finance team of a leading global law firm.

Our client is an international law firm with 21 offices across the globe and currently has over 1000 staff. The firm has won many awards over the years including International Law Firm of the Year.

Responsibilities

Performing allocations for all UK office cash receipts in multiple currencies
Producing weekly office credit balance reports for all areas
Posting the bank charges for all CHAPS payments
Client to office transfers
Raising client cheques
Regularly reviewing the client ledgers and coordinating with the credit controller concerning bills in accordance with Rule 1
Performing reconciliations for all Official Fee Accounts
Supporting the Senior Cashier with Manual Deposit Interests
Performing compilations of monthend bank reconciliation summaries for both Client and Office Accounts
Office receipt reversals
Cancelling outdated Client & Office Account cheques
Assisting the senior cashier in clearing Client residual balances
Supporting the Head Cashier in preparation and during and Audit
Adhoc cashiering/AP duties as and when required
Previous cashiering experience within a law firm
Proven knowledge of SARs and VAT rules
