Intake Delivery Lead

    Your Responsibilities
  • To work within the team responsible for the safe loading of finish products onto river vessels and bulk haulage trucks and the unloading of raw materials vessels from the river.
  • To play an active role in site Health and Safety, Environmental, Food Safety & promote within shifts.
  • Organisation of jetty and bulk loading overtime cover.
  • Assist in the investigation of Health and Safety, Environmental, Food Safety and Quality incidents.
  • To liaise with Logistics Supervisor to execute sound decisions regarding plant, material and product integrity in the raw material and final product handling areas.
  • Train as Deputy PFSO & organise and execute PFSO exercises. (Port Facility Security Officer)
  • Assist with intake delivery operator training and development of standard operating procedures
  • To play an active role in Performance Excellence at Erith, with specific input on the intake delivery function.
  • Reporting of any equipment problems or failure & liaise with maintenance department.
  • Cover for Logistics Supervisor in their absence.

Your Profile

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence others.
  • A 100% commitment to Safety in the workplace.
  • Good IT Skills including experience using MS Word & Excel.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, performance excellence and promoting change.
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) or with the ability to operate at that level.
  • Good experience / understanding of the Jetty/Silo/Weighbridge operation at Erith.
