The Company

Our Client is a nationally renowned manufacturer of the plastic range of products.

They have been situated in Gloucester since 1974 and the business is currently in the process of growing and introducing new technology to our production capabilities.

The Role


You will be a trusted member of the team with responsibility for ensuring a safe and environmentally conscious workplace for our employees and visitors as well as working to contain and resolve product and service non-conformities.


Our integrated management system is accredited to the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards and the maintenance and development of this system will be an important part of the QHSE Engineer role.

Key Objectives

  • Conduct and review risk assessments for all manufacturing and nonmanufacturing processes and creating an action plan for the mitigation of identified risks.
  • Complete regular audits of the H&S, quality and environmental management and physical control elements, processes and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively both visually and verbally to increase engagement to further develop our established QHSE culture.
  • Coordinate the response and resolution of nonconformances arising from our internal processes and when highlighted to us by our customers and thirdparty auditors.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of hazard observations, near misses and accidents to understand, identify and correct the root cause of incidents.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Corplex team on issues relating to H&S, quality and environment.
  • Your Qualifications & Skills
  • Clear communicator with the confidence to lead and motivate others to achieve planned outcomes.
  • Team oriented with the ability to recognise interfunctional customer/supplier relationships.
  • Focused on proactive prevention and logical identification of root cause.
  • Organised and numerate with a systematic and disciplined approach to administration.
  • Practical IT skills proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Preferably NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

£30,000 - £32,000
