International Timberwe are looking for
a
Procurement Co-ordinator to work out of our Manchester Office
. Working alongside our Forecasting and Purchasing Manager, you will support the purchasing functions in line with agreed stock budget and sales requirements of thebusiness.


International Timber is now part of STARK Building Materials UK. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, andmaintain the cities of tomorrow.


Is this role right for me?

This is a hybrid role, working a minimum of 1 day a week in our office in Manchester. Monthly travel to our International Timber sites across the UK will also be required, therefore a Driving Licence will be essential to the role.

For this role we are looking for someone with the following skills

  • Experience working in the Timber Industry would be very advantageous to the role
  • Purchasing or inventory management experience
  • Maths and English GCSE or relevant experience
  • Excel experience or qualifications
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative
  • CIPS qualifications would also be beneficial

What will I be doing in the role?

  • Provide a range of data and reports to Purchasing Managers
  • Facilitate forecasts creation with coordinated sales contribution
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels to the site's capacities and sales demand
  • Analyse and support adequate stock distribution, and balance between different storage locations
  • Respond to and fulfil adhoc sales requirements
  • Analyse new products performance
  • Monitor stock availability KPIs in all stock locations
  • Ensure that business controls and procedures are met in line with company's policy
  • Ensure safe working practices whilst conforming to company and legislative Health & Safety Standards & Responsibilities
  • Any other tasks as directed by the National Inventory Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the business, maximum efficiency, and customer satisfaction
