We are currently looking to appoint an HR Coordinator to support our People Business Partners and the wider People and Engagement Team.

This role would suit someone with prior experience looking for more autonomy in their next role or a skilled and experienced administrator with a desire to move into HR, as full training will be given.

In either case you will need to be comfortable learning new systems and processes at pace.

The role is varied and will give you exposure to all areas of HR with scope for development and progression.

You could be based in Cambridge or closer to one of our other sites in London, Northampton or Canterbury.

Overview of the Job
The People Coordinator is a key position within the team, supporting the People Business Partners across CATS Global Schools.

Working as part of a proactive, innovative and responsive People & Engagement team, you will provide pragmatic, creative and business focussed P&E solutions and recommendations along with supporting wider business projects.

You will also build and develop relationships with managers and staff at all levels to provide support and guidance on a range of HR matters and share best practice across CATS Global Schools.

Main Responsibilities of the Job

  • Provision of an efficient, effective and customer focussed service which supports all aspects of an employee's relationship and engagement with the business including, but not limited to, all HR systems, recruitment, safeguarding, terms and conditions of employment, training and development activities, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding standards and business policies.
  • Build an effective working relationship with staff at all levels, providing advice and guidance whilst ensuring a good level of understanding of business needs in order to identify innovative solutions and recommendations.
  • Shadow the People Business Partners and Advisors effectively to ensure a timely management of employee relations case work and change management programmes across the wider business; such as investigations, hearings, grievances, absence management, performance, restructures and TUPE, ensuring lead managers are supported and policy standards and legislation are adhered to.
  • Provide transactional support for all HR systems in Schools and HQ, both remotely and in person, to include training to others and creation of training manuals where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the effective development, implementation and maintenance of the HRIS (iTrent), ensuring data is updated accordingly along with ensuring managers and employees are supported in the full utilisation of the system.
HR Coordination

  • Provide first line support, advice and guidance to line managers and employees in relation to HR policies and procedures, employee relations issues and organisational
- change.

  • Promote employee engagement, analysing the data from engagement surveys to work with the departments to proactively implement actions.
  • Deliver on and support the business on a wide range of HR projects.
  • Train new employees within the P&E Team on systems and processes
  • Oversee and create offer packs, contracts of employment, variation to contract and leaver letters
  • Oversee and input employment details on HRIS
  • Oversee and manage HR SYSAID effectively to deliver outcomes in a timely manner
  • Be integral is establishing the P&E SLA's and ensuring adherence to these once established
  • Provide the first point of contact in a polite and professional manner for the main telephone number and calls from reception
  • Assist with the post & office management duties as required
  • Provide support to Business Partners in note taking and hearing arrangement
  • Provide a high level of customer service

Monitoring and Compliance:

  • Analyse HR reports and drive HR KPI improvements.
  • Work alongside the Talent team to ensure right to work details are correct and meet UKVI regulations
