What you'll be responsible for:


  • Greet patients and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Ensure that patients are kept informed of waiting times for outpatient and diagnostic appointments, advising of any problems as and when they arise.
  • Check in and check out all outpatient and diagnostic appointments on EPR, recording the appropriate outcome and 18 week RTT status.
  • In agreement with the patient, book follow up appointment as indicated by the clinic outcome form prior to the patient leaving the service.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above


You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous NHS experience.
  • System knowledge of EPR. (Desirable)
