Are you looking to discover your creative journey as a Junior Designer? Are you keen to dive into the world of book design? We have a not-to-be missed opportunity for an ambitious Junior Designer to work for a fantastic London based children's publisher, and be part of their lively, successful team, who produce a variety of trade and co-edition titles.

They are looking for a proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic individual with great communication skills and a strong eye for design to assist their friendly design team, who collaborate with authors, illustrators, and designers to create engaging and visually captivating books that spark imagination and curiosity in children of all ages.

This is a hybrid working role, with three days in the London office and two days working from home.


As Junior Designer you will be involved in assisting the team to shape the visual identity of captivating stories and will help with the book creation process, whilst developing your skills and experience, working on a wide range of books, bringing children's stories to life.


We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong Graphic Design degree and a portfolio showcasing your creativity and a range of design projects.

You will be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, ideally with an understanding of typography.

You will have strong visual and graphic design skills for document layout and strong Photoshop skills for image retouching, compositing, visualising, and creation purposes.


Strong communication and collaborations skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and work in a team environment are essential, as is an interest in children's books.
