Description

This is a fixed term, full time appointment until 31 December 2025.

Seeking a creative and team-oriented Postdoctoral Researcher to uncover the cellular and physiological basis of Arp2/3 diversity.

We are seeking a motivated and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to carry out research in cell and tissue biology to elucidate the physiological consequences of Arp2/3-driven actin network diversity.

You will be involved in the dissection of the roles of Arp2/3 subunit isoform diversity on muscle fibre development using imaging technologies including FIB-SEM and correlative light and electron microscopy methods.

This work will be undertaken as part of the research team led by Prof Carolyn Moores, and is funded by a European Research Council Synergy Grant in collaboration with Michael Way (The Francis Crick Institute, London) and Edgar Gomes (IMM, Lisbon).

This project represents an exciting opportunity to uncover the multiple hierarchies at which diversity of the Arp2/3 complex operate and will involve close collaborative interactions, use of facilities and visits between all three groups to achieve our ambitious goal.

Applicants should have a PhD in bioimaging, cell biology or a related area, and have relevant research publications.
