Corps Security is currently recruiting for a Head of Central Support to be based at one of our prestigious client's premises.


Job purpose:

The Central Support team has centre stage in transforming the end-to-end process, enabling accurate planning of people and operations. To be responsible for all Central Support operational colleagues, allocating the team according to the regional contract requirements.

To manage the Central Support function in full, ensuring the fulfilment of all contractual requirements to both our customers and our colleagues.

To successfully use analytical capability, leadership and excellent relationships building skills across the many areas of the business which require an exceptional service delivery from the Central Support Team.


Role requirements:


  • Experience of successfully leading teams to constantly achieve company objectives and business requirements
  • Ability to communicate with all levels, from senior management to operational staff
  • The ability to manage and deliver projects, draft and implement policies and influence senior stakeholders
  • Analytical and quality focused able to produce accurate management information
  • Excellent people and performance management skills; motivate, coach, develop, ins[ire and ability to identify training needs
  • Target and KPI focused yet able to deliver whilst maintaining employee engagement
  • Commercially aware
  • Experience of managing a scheduling/central support function in a highprofile pressurised environment and familiarization of working with time and attendance sytems
  • Evidence of problemsolving skills and improving the day to day running of a department
  • Excellent IT, MS Office and presentation skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Very high organisation and prioritisation skills

Duties include:


  • Through the Time and Attendance software, ensure the Central Support team plan & action contract schedules at least 36 months in advance, manage open posts, holidays and sickness/blowout events in conjunction with the relevant operational manager such that performance/contractual targets are met and/or exceeded
  • Ensure the CS team, in conjunction with the local operational teams, manage the scheduling and rostering of all operational security and business support colleagues using the propriety software TrackTik to achieve and/or exceed the contractual and ATC requirement
  • Drive change within the CS team to continuously deliver business improvement efficiencies
  • Manage all aspects of the CS service and ensure delivery of operational KPI's
  • Provide key data and analysis to the business to meet all operational and health and safety requirements
  • Work with the Managing Director providing strategic business recommendations to improve the overall CS function
  • Ensure the CS team carries out monthly welfare calls/surveys to an agreed number of colleagues to gauge colleague satisfaction
  • Publish branch, regional and national key business reports
  • Provide training and support to operational and administrative colleagues such that TrackTik is fully understood and utilised in all our branches
  • Monitor and manage costs in line with the budget and prepare monthly forecasts as required
  • Lead, manage and motivate direct reports including goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development planning
  • Ensure the health and safety of our sitebased colleagues are maintained by the CS team with an appropriate use of the book on/off and check call monitoring system and tools
  • Develop and implement procedures and operational manuals for both the CS and operational team to ensure excellent service delivery to all stakeholders as well as maximizing the use of the available software
  • Ensure operating systems are functioning correctly and are fit for purpose, troubleshooting and organising for corrective action where required whilst at the same time mitigating against any risks
  • Comply with the Company's policies and procedures and adhere to all standards and relevant legislations
