We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Security Operations at our client's brand-new purpose built Corporate Global Headquarters in central London.


The Head of Security Operations will lead the security and customer ambassador team in direct collaboration and strong partnership with our client and partners to provide focused security and excellent customer services and deliver the full spectrum of core competencies to ensure we protect our client's people, places, and products while delivering best-in-class service experience.

You will have a proven ability to drive exceptional customer experiences — and results — through team development.

You will lead a team of security professionals and customer experience ambassadors focused on protecting 1,500 team members and ensuring the safety and security of the public using the site facilities, thereby ensuring site security processes meet or exceed industry standards and comply with company & UK policies, guidelines, and standards.

This role offers both hands-on work in our daily operations as well as the development of longer-term strategic initiatives.

It provides the opportunity to proactively champion security initiatives through clear communication, coaching and engagement with the team while serving as part of the senior leadership team.


The Head of Security Operations role is an integral and visible part of the site's functions and senior leadership team.


Responsibilities

  • Leads daytoday security and frontofhouse functions, including but not limited to Stakeholder Management, Security Administration, Customer Experience Training, Incident Reporting and Investigations, Security Education and Awareness Training, Physical Security Operations, e.g., CCTV, Access Control, and resource deployment.
  • Responsible for inspiring your team to own and create a safe, secure, welcoming, and seamless user experience.
  • Leads securityrelated site drills, emergency evacuation/invac response plans, and imminent threat response to ensure heightened preparedness and timely response and participates as a crisis management team member.
  • Determines and refines critical metrics to include but not limited to; Incident Management Reporting, Compliance, Near-Miss reporting, trend analysis and completion of site vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, mystery customer satisfaction reports and appropriate remediation where required.
  • Utilise indepth knowledge of the security discipline and analytical thinking to develop, execute, sustain, and uphold security guidelines, policies, standards, and strategies,
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues and partners. Leading security projects fully aware of risks and resource requirements.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships at all levels with key law enforcement and security agencies and participates in professional security organisations essential to maintaining an appropriate security posture for the site.
  • Conducts comprehensive, standardised risk and sitelevel vulnerability assessments, identifies deficiencies, and provides and audits recommended countermeasures to mitigate financial loss, damage, or business interruptions.
  • Maintains robust and professional working relationships with Senior Executive Assistants, Health and Safety, Site Leadership and Corporate Security stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all incidents involving crime, security violations, critical security intelligence and security violations. Review incident reports and provide guidance to ensure their prompt closure.
  • Receives and evaluates information on securityrelated adverse incidents and informs appropriate leaders and Corporate Security.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting the health and stability of security systems and ensuring security personnel are trained and competent in utilising the systems appropriately.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience, preferably with a security focus or facilities service environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in an operational management role within a customerfacing industry/environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic operational environment.
  • EU citizen or valid work permit
