Our wonderful
Omnicom Balfour Beatty business has a terrific opportunity for a
Structures Examiner to join us, essentially home based but to cover various regions of
Scotland.
What you'll be doing
- As a
Structures Examiner, you will undertake examinations of structures and assist other staff as required in all matters of examinations and reporting required for the assessment of structures.**
Assist in planning of possessions and in compiling risk assessments: -
Assist in compliance with H & S at Work Act, other relevant H & S and environmental regs, fire regs and COSHH requirements:
Undertake confirmed spaces, aerial platform and highways works as required
Who we're looking for You will have the following**:
STE 4 Examiner rail accreditation:- A reasonable level of examination of
rail structures: - ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline
- In depth knowledge of
Structure types:
-
Common failure modes:
-
Recognition of structural defects:
-
Deterioration of structural elements
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Most likely to be currently based in Scotland
