, Permanent**Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead / support the fleet management team with identifying and securing suitable short and long term warehousing solutions both in the UK and Central Europe ensuring the design and suitability of the solutions to be fit for purpose and future proofed
  • Develop, recruit and manage a team responsible for organising and arranging the transport of heavy offshore wind turbine components, loading and unloading in and outside a warehouse and storage and implement systems for the care and management of stored goods
  • Develop, recruit and manage a team responsible for all coordination and actions associated with port logistics & mobilisation activities for JUV and SOV campaigns such as customs, checking feasibility, securing availability of components at port ready to load on the vessels
  • Develop, recruit and manage a team responsible for the purchasing of logístical services, along with the management of contracts and the processing of associated costs and payments. Working closely with the major component team and marine & logistics project management functions and play a key role to ensure intime delivery and successful transport & management of components, parts, spares and tooling
  • Develop, recruit and manage a team who will work closely with other central functions to define and implement both the long and short term strategies for supply chain, logistics and storage of major component parts, tooling, spares and service kits. Play an active role in the fleetwide refurbishment process of major components such as tracking, SAP bookings, receiving and storing
  • Develop, recruit and manage a team who will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by providing both the right instructions and the right equipment to handle heavy components. Secure the right storage environment for different components. Work with SAP MM-Log on a daily base
  • Develop, recruit and manage a team who will work closely with the major component team to create process and procedures for technically goods receipting items, goods incoming checks and any specialist testing requirements to ensure all component meet industry quality standards
  • Develop, recruit and manage a team who will work with sites and fleet service teams to define strategies for service part logistics and storage management

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in the development of new teams and project management
  • Skilled in the use of SAP for materials management (MM-Log)
  • Selfmotivated with a strong desire and commitment to performance
  • Experienced in WTG heavy components transport logistics
  • Good knowledge of warehousing large wind turbine components and service spares for multiple sites and platform types
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
  • Great organisational skills
  • Be able to operate remotely and on own initiative
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders
  • Experience of operating within safety, environmental and operational policies, frameworks and statutory legislation
This role can be office or home based, with occasional travel, including international.
