Description

Due to expansion of our pharmacy homecare service we are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy procurement and homecare team.

An enthusiastic, reliable and conscientious individual is required to support the Pharmacy procurement office & homecare services.

Experience of general office duties printing documents, scanning, data entry.

Procurement, invoicing, homecare experience is desirable but not essential.

You will be expected to have or be willing to study for an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy or similar qualification

NHS or Pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.


37.5 HOURS PER WEEK THERE IS ALSO A REQUIREMENT TO WORK ON A ROTA BASIS TO PROVIDE AN EXTENDED SERVICE AT LATE NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS.

Main duties will be working within the procurement and Homecare team

Raising purchase orders

Printing & reconciling invoices

Creating patient specific orders

Scanning, filing and posting homecare prescriptions.


The post holder will also to be trained to work in goods in, picking and packing to cover on weekend, bank holidays and late night duties on a rota basis.

Main responsibilities will be to support the pharmacy procurement team with homecare and procurement processes.

You will also be expected to work within the pharmacy stores in goods in on an adhoc basis.

Full training will be given.
