Our advanced manufacturing site in Wednesbury, West Midlands, is our newest advanced manufacturing site, and we've invested around £4.7 million into state-of-the-art facilities.

Our Wednesbury site is a flagship Added Value centre for Avara, which employ over 150 talented individuals at the site, who help to supply some of the UK's largest supermarkets and popular restaurants

Material Coordinator to join our Team, based at our
Wednesbury site.

The role is predominantly office based, however some time in the factory will also be required. As
a Material Coordinator you'll be working Monday to Friday- hours to be discussed during interview stage.**
What will you be doing as a Material Coordinator at Avara?


As a
Material Coordinator you'll be responsible for scheduling and maintenance of all stock and materials required for product assembly in a fast moving, high volume, and frequently changing environment, where there is a significant amount of incoming data from various sources which requires the ability to analyse, process, make decisions and communicate effectively.


What will your key responsibilities as a Material Coordinator include?

  • Create and manage daily stock schedules, from stock to production
  • Provide cover, where required, for the Materials Admin and Materials Resource Planner when on annual leave etc
  • Ensure Purchase Orders are raised weekly for all areas of packaging, materials and PPE
  • Receipt and ensure management of PO's once raised
  • Monitor all ingredient and packaging stocks and report any potential problems to escalate or find a solution
  • Investigation and resolve any stock queries
  • Maintaining daily orders of frozen stocks, packaging etc
  • Print and communicate current days issues
  • Monitor and maintain PPE stocks, ensuring remain in enough supply
  • Distribute PPE to production and ensure issued out as required
  • Communicate to third parties and suppliers any missing delivery notes
  • Communicate and manager intersite stock transfers
  • Attend any daily meetings to discuss materials and stocks and report any issues
  • Responsible for the weekly stock take and ensuring stocks are replenished where required

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar, fast paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Team player capable of working with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to focus on the right priorities whilst adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Proactive problem solver with good decisionmaking skills.
  • A logical thinker with strong numerical, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Good standard of IT skills and standard knowledge of MS package.
