Description

The Integrated Governance department are looking for a compassionate and motivated colleague to join the Patient Safety Team as the Family Liaison Officer (FLO).


The post holder will act as the main point of contact for patients and families who are involved in serious incidents and those that lead to an inquest.

They will take a lead on Duty of Candor compliance, ensuring that all relevant individuals are kept informed throughout the investigation progress.


The individual should have a professional approach with the ability to communicate with professionals at all levels across the organisation.

They must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy complex workload.


The post holder will work closely with the Patient Safety Team to identify patients and named next of kin who require the support of the Family Liaison Officer and establish a clear route of communication for each individualisedcase.
