Description

Liverpool John Moores University is looking for a well-organised, enthusiastic and service-oriented Research Contracts Officer to join a busy, close-knit team within the University's Research and Innovation Services department (RIS), in order to provide maternity cover for an existing post.


We are looking for an individual who is well-organised, friendly and approachable, and with experience of contracts and terms and conditions within the context of academic research grants.

Whilst a legal qualification is desirable, sensitivity to the aims of academic collaborative research, allied to a good working knowledge of how contracting works within the Higher Education sector, is more essential for the role.


You will work as part of a pro-active central team within a wider network, and will be fully supported in their development by the Research Grants Manager.

The deadline for this role is 31 August 2023.


LJMU are committed to adhering to the Principles set out in the Researcher Development Concordat; in line with this all fixed-term researchers will be supported to complete 10 days professional development activities per year (pro-rata).
