We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person to assist with our studies of marine top predator ecology in the Moray Firth, NE Scotland.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate who would like to develop and broaden their research experience.

You will gain valuable experience assisting with data entry, image processing and equipment preparation for our long-term individual based and passive acoustic monitoring studies.

Most of your work will involve computer-based support tasks, especially measuring animal photogrammetry images.

However, there will also be scope to assist in other aspects of our research and for you to become familiar with some of the techniques and equipment used in marine ecological research.

We are looking for a motivated individual with experience of computer-based image handling and ecological fieldwork. Patience, a keen eye for detail and good communication skills with the public and other researchers are essential.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 5, Point 24 £30,619 per annum. The role will last for 12 months.

This post does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post that require sponsorship to work in the UK.
