We have a new and exciting opportunity for talented individuals to join one of our prestigious clients as a Lab Assistant, ensuring the efficient and smooth running of their life science laboratory on a temporary basis.


It's a role that you will be able to do knowing you will have contributed to the research and development of the next ground-breaking pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and agrochemical products and potentially make a difference in people's lives helping to combat serious illnesses and diseases such as Cancer, Dementia and Heart Disease, etc.


The role


As a Lab Assistant, you will be required to carry out general maintenance and cleaning duties around the Lab assisting the Researchers and Scientists in their day-to-day duties.

Your duties and responsibilities will be but not limited to:


  • Washing of animal cages using a wash machine or manual method, as directed
  • Cleaning and maintaining the rooms and associated areas to the company's written standards
  • Receiving and dispatching of goods into and out of the barrier, with the correct use of the sterilization procedures to maintain barrier status
  • Providing high standards of animal husbandry when required
  • Carrying out any other tasks or duties as may be required by the Group leader or supervisor from time to time

About you


We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop and who has an interest in working with technical machinery.


The Requirements

  • Have a good work ethic and work cohesively in a team
  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above
  • Animal handling experience or relevant qualification
  • You must be physically fit
  • Organized and selfmotivated
  • Good time management being able to stick to strict deadlines

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
£9.70-£11.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
