Description

My client in the LS10 area of Leeds are looking for an experienced Wood Machinist.

The company specialises in manufacturing made to measure wooden packing cases and arranging full export packing services to transport valuable goods across the world.

We have major customers across all sectors including medical and scientific, aerospace, industrial and fine art.

Are you currently working as a wood machinist, machine operator, cnc machine operator, carpenter

Using automatic saws to cut softwood and plywood ready for case manufacturing
Following information from cutting sheets to programme saws (training given)
Ensuring the correct stock of wood products are in the warehouse saws area ready for use.
Assisting with timber stock checks
In time, assisting with case manufacturing using power saws, nail guns, drills and other hand tools
Forklift (experience preferred but training available)
working to high standards of productivity, quality and health & safety
a physical job involving heavy lifting and handling of timber and plywood
