As an Estates Business Officer, your primary objective will be to lead and manage a small team responsible for the efficient functioning of the NWAS Estates Helpdesk.

You will gather and analyse data related to Estates operations to enhance business intelligence and optimize processes. Utilising your expertise, you will design and implement innovative information systems to improve the management and monitoring of departmental services

Lead the Estates Helpdesk Team, providing support, staff development, health and safety monitoring, and leave management.


Centralise and maintain estates-related data in a common data environment, utilising Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems for maintenance and management purposes.

Act as the main contact for CAFM system reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance of data, and providing staff training.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, handle inquiries, and collect feedback following departmental procedures.

Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and protocols at all times.

To thrive in this role, you should have excellent leadership skills and experience in managing a team.

A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a related field, along with proficiency in CAFM systems and data analysis, is essential.

You should be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.


This role will be based at our HQ site in Broughton, with the possibility of adopting a hybrid work approach.

We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to accommodate individual needs.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.


Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.

We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.


Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
