Due to the continued expansion of the business and increasing demands, my clients Finance function is expanding the current team and require an Assistant Management Accountant.

The key duties of the role will primarily involve assisting in the completion of the monthly accounts, supporting Cost Centre managers, assisting with annual budget preparation, assisting with external audit queries and any ad-hoc requirements arising from the Operational team .

This would be an excellent opportunity to join a growing Finance function and build on existing experience.


Key Requirements:

In this fast-paced role you will:

  • Responsible for management account preparation
  • Assist in production of monthly financial statement, reports, journals reconciliation and cost centre reviews.
  • Support the management accounting team
  • Provide financial analysis and support to stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Assist in the monthly production of P&L's
  • Board Pack, Month End & Weekly Reporting.
  • Allocating monthly charges to the P&L.
  • Journal preparation and input
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process
  • Contribution to reviews and project improving the division
To succeed as an Assistant Management Accountant, you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • IT skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential), Power BI (desirable) Access (desirable).
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of both management and financial accounting
  • Part qualification or equivalent working towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience working in a SME or large organisation
  • Previous Exposure to Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Accruals & Prepayments.
  • Selfmotivated with a collaborative, team working approach
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent administrative/organisational abilities and a keen eye for details and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Experience working in a busy office
