A food manufacturing company are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to manage the health & safety across the site.

Being a lead for reviewing health & safety practices, support on training and driving a health & safety culture across the site.

You willhave experience working within a health & safety role with extensive knowledge of polices and procedures within a manufacturing environment.

As a Health & Safety Officer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Reporting into the Site Manager you will be responsible for regularly reviewing that the objectives defined in the site H&S Policy and HSE legislative requirements for the site.
  • Interact with Line Managers and Senior Managers across the business to ensure effective roll out and continual adoption of the defined objectives stated in the Site Safety Policy.
  • In conjunction with the Site Manager ensure that the H&S responsibilities of every individual is clearly defined.
  • Conduct any accident investigations and near misses across the site.
  • Continually monitor the success of the site's safety policy and plans in achieving stated objectives by use of audits, KPI performance and appraisal.
  • Actively promote safety awareness throughout the site via internal channels.
  • Develop engagement across the Production teams in improvement activity, progress, and results by utilising all available communication systems
  • Maintain compliance and updating of all official safety documentation and regulatory.
  • Organise and Lead site Health & Safety Committee Meetings
  • Ensure all, Group Safety and Environmental reports are completed in a timely manner.
An exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Officer with the following.

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified with experience working within fast paced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, standards and practices.
  • Confident in driving a health & safety culture.
  • Ability to create and develop health & safety training programs.
  • Positive thinking and selfmotivated individual with good communication skills.
