Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Estimator/Senior Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the estimation process, supporting the bidding and tendering activities of the company.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and analysing project plans, specifications, and technical drawings to determine the scope of work and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Conducting thorough quantity takeoffs and pricing of electrical materials, equipment, and labour required for each project.
• Working with the project management team to assess project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favorable terms.
• Presenting estimates and proposals to clients and participating in bid clarification meetings.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or Senior Electrical Estimator within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Remuneration and Work Conditions:

This is a full-time position based in the company's office in Central London. The role involves occasional site visits to ensure accurate estimation and project progress monitoring. The remuneration package for the position is circa £55,000-65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
