Job Role:
Team Leader Instructor x1 AND Instructor x1

Hours:40 hours / 5 days per week


Contract: 8-month seasonal contract, from March - October (with the possibility of making it a full-time contract)


Salary / Pay:
£23,000-£26,000 depending on role experience

We are the hairiest adventure company in the UK. We're all about providing the best experiences for our clients and employees. Based in one of the best places in the UK to lead and experience outdoor activities.


Based in Llangollen, we provide canyoning in the best canyon in North Wales; rafting and river tubing on the River Dee; canoeing over the world's highest aqueduct; as well as our own archery & axe throwing range alongside the river.

Since we started in 2018 we've grown rapidly.

We're now expanding our team with two new roles:
a Trip Leader Instructor (full-time) x1 and an Instructor (full-time) x1.


About the job role

  • Day to day running of activities & guiding
  • Supporting activities & evening sessions
  • Maintenance of center, equipment, kit & vehicles
  • Welcome customer, H&S/consent forms
  • Cleaning (including bin runs)
  • Setting up camps, taking camps down
  • Helping with client BBQs
  • Equipment checks
  • Communicating customers beforehand (via phone)
  • Communicating back to management progress of activities
  • Following processes & procedures

  • Someone who is as passionate as us about customer experience and ensuring all our customers go away having had an amazing experience and loving the outdoors.
  • Someone who understands our commitment to making sure all our activities are accessible and enjoyable to all (aka well led and run, with the customer in mind able to work with a small family of 4 as much as a stag do of 30)
  • Comfortable & confident talking to different people everyday
  • Motivated individual who can work by themselves, as well as part of the team
  • Flexible & adaptable because we're a multiactivity provider, a small team and plans can change quickly (the weather, clients, environment & activities)
  • Someone who wants to do a great job

What you need (Qualifications & Experience)

Instructor

  • 2 years outdoor experience for trainee
  • BCU 3* canoe or paddle sports leader
  • BCU White Water Kayak Leader or equivalent experience
  • IRF Class 2⁄3 Guide
  • Archery Experience

Trip Leader Instructor

  • Minimum of 34 years outdoor experience
  • BCU 3* canoe or paddle sports leader
  • BCU White Water Kayak Leader or equivalent experience
  • IRF Class 3 Guide / WRT Pro
  • Archery experience
  • RCI
  • Coasteering or Canyoning experience
