Are you a proactive, and passionate AHP Support worker or Health Care Support Worker, committed to reducing the incidence and impact of inpatient falls?

If so, Southmead Hospital is looking for you.

The post will involve working Monday - Friday for 15 hours a week and will be based at Southmead Hospital, as well as working collaboratively with our partners across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.


  • To support the Falls Management and Prevention Lead and Falls Management and Prevention Practitioner, to accomplish a reduction in harmful falls incidents in adults, particularly among older people across the Trust.
  • To provide administration support for falls related groups and improvement programmes.
  • To participate in falls data collection and analysis to support the Falls Management and Prevention Lead in providing organisational oversight of falls related performance measures, and support data informed quality improvement initiatives and transformational change programmes.
  • To deliver competency informed packages of falls management and prevention education and training to clinical colleagues across the Trust.
