Working Pattern:Various morning to afternoon and afternoon to evening shifts AM and PM
  • Part time and full time all including weekends.**
    Each shift is 8 hours long from your start time.
  • Full Time working 37.5 hours a week, working PM shifts. Start and Finish times vary, flexibility required with start times between 05:0008:00 and 12:0015:00 with finish times between 13:0016:00 and 20:00 23:00 working 8 hour shifts, Weekends are compulsory working two on, two off on a full time basis.

Part time contracts must include at least one weekend day one other day during the week as a minimum which would repeat each week.

The recruitment rate for this role is £12.66 an hour.

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will be the friendly face of our business - the helpful driver who delivers the unique blend of quality and outstanding service that you expect from John Lewis & Partners, right to our customers' doors.


This is a really important 'front line' role that is a crucial part of our online operation, where you will be key in supporting our online growth ambitions.

You will represent us with every single customer you meet, and their impression of John Lewis & Partners is down to you


Duties and Responsibilities:

Your role will be to deliver goods to our customers with exceptional customer service. You will build strong relationships with our customers, demonstrating flexibility and integrity, whilst being legally compliant in your duties.


This job may entail working with heavy products and could involve lifting.

Job Requirements:


The role of a delivery driver requires a person with a scrupulous approach to health and safety, and who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Willingness to be flexible and high standards of personal and food hygiene are required.

The Delivery Driver should always aim to exceed customer expectations and be able to use initiative to deal calmly with unexpected situations.

A Driver Assessment will be required for this role.


Required essential experience skills and qualifications:

  • Clean and Full Driving License.
