Due to a growth in new contracts Hospital Direct is looking to recruit an additional member of staff in our production department to operate current machines, enable us to deliver our orders more quickly and efficiently and to become a valuable member of our production team.

The basics of the job role include:
- Working with a variety of machines and equipment and learning how to set them up correctly, adjust and maintain them.
- Selecting fabric for the task and loading.
- Checking for faults.
- Learning and understanding each job in the cutting room to be able to operate each competently.
- Storing fabrics correctly and checking stock levels.
- Making sure work areas and equipment are clean.
- Plan production processes alongside the Production Manager.
- Calculate labour, equipment requirements and product specifications.
- Maintain operations data, such as time, production and cost records.
- Perform manufacturing operations using CAD design, fusing, material handling and cutting fabric.
- Successfully run quality checks.
- Deciding on the correct cutting method for the type of material.
- Planning how much to cut from a piece of material so that there is not much waste.

- Willing to learn to increase skill level.
- Analytical and problemsolving skills.

FULL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN
Hours will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm & Friday 8.30am to 4pm.
Salary:
From £22,500.00 per year
