Description

We are looking for enthusiastic, organised people with customer focused approaches, excellent communication skills and analytical aptitudes to join our Information Governance Service.

Working as part of the Information Governance Service, you will ensure the council responds to statutory information requests received from the public and information sharing requests from other organisations.

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, according to business need, as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

You will also work closely with the council's various departments and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the Information Governance Service.

Following training and familiarisation with local business processes, you will work increasingly autonomously, taking professional responsibility for dealing with the full process of requests, from validation and engagement with the requester, through the full process of the consideration of any applicable safeguards and exemptions, to the secure provision of information.

Personal emotional resilience is especially important in this role, which will involve processing of social care information, the content of which could be upsetting and potentially triggering.

You should be able to display excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills and an awareness of the UK's privacy and data protection legislation and how this impacts the council.

If you enjoy a challenge and a varied workload please apply.
