Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is a leading conservation charity in the UK and has an excellent reputation for the development of 'green prescriptions', working to improve people's wellbeing through engagement with the natural environment.
This work is the basis of our alternative education provision and has proved successful and popular with a wide range of referrers, students and their carers, including Wiltshire Council, for whom we are approved providers.
Due to this we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Education and Wellbeing Officer to support and shape our expanding Care Farm provision.
Working alongside the Care Farms' Manager, Assistant Managers and our experienced staff team, we are seeking to recruit inspiring, knowledgeable and committed staff to support and deliver alternative provision at Lakeside Care Farm near Malmesbury.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the daily delivery of nature-based therapeutic activities on a one-to-one basis with children, young people and adults with additional needs, mental health, social and communication difficulties and those in need of emotional support.
Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs is essential, as is an understanding of person centred practice and the use of nature, horticulture, animals and creativity to support the holistic education of the children, young people and adults with whom we work.
