_EMA Training are recruiting for this apprenticeship position on behalf of our client, DHU Health Care._

To assist the accountancy function in the production of statutory financial functions and financial information, advice and guidance to managers and staff within DHU Healthcare
To assist in the processing of financial transactions, including payments and income, ensuring that documents are correctly completed and that coding is accurate
To assist the team in preparing and monitoring budgets for budget holders
To make supervised general ledger transactional adjustments in order to update accounting entries and budgets
To prepare reconciliations and to ensure that the financial ledger is maintained to produce final year end accounts
To provide general financial advice and guidance to staff in relation to financial transactions and controls
Assist in delivering financial training
Undertake general office duties as required
Ensure all work complies with financial regulations and departmental instructions, including performing regular audits of both the Finance and Payroll teams
Work with new technology including any computerised systems
Assist with improving systems and processes
Assist the Assistant Accountant in ad hoc project work
Provide cover for Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Assistant Accountant Roles
As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements
Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time
