This is an exciting new opportunity to join our team as a Pastoral Support Officer. This role will work in the school's isolation area, supervising and supporting students who have been removed from lessons.You will work with school leaders to implement individualised work programmes for students placed in the isolation area and will take a lead on individual or small group intervention behaviour support work.
The role will commence in July 2023 and working hours are from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday during the school term.
You will also be paid for an additional 14 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings, training and development that sits outside your normal working hours.
Your actual salary is £19,245 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.

We are looking for an individual who are great communicators and able to quickly build rapport with young people.
You will be committed to ensuring every individual child receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be.
We're also looking for the following:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a calm and settled environment
- IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Able to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
