Listening and Speaking - Higher Level

Able to follow a conversation or discussion through the medium of Welsh and English on a professional level and discuss general day to day topics in the field in order to present information and express opinions.

Able to give a pre-prepared presentation and respond to any comments and questions on it in Welsh or English.


Reading and Understanding - Higher Level
Able to understand standard written Welsh and English; both formal and informal.

Able to gather information from various sources such as letters, reports, articles through the medium of Welsh and English in order to fulfil the post.


Writing - Higher Level

Present written information confidently by letter, more detailed and technical report formats, and respond to written requests conveying information, ideas and opinion in Welsh and English (help is available to check the work).


Purpose of the Post.

  • Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Admin support to an integrated multi agency county team (in partnership with Health) that work with disabled children / young people and ill children / young people.
  • Work in collaboration with other administrative officers to meet administrative needs to support the work of the team.

Responsibility for functions. e.g. staff, budgets, equipment

  • Stationery
  • Petty cash (including Health Trust petty cash)

Main Duties

  • Implement reception duties by answering the phone and dealing with children / young people and their families, professional people that call in the office in a confidential and sensative maner.
  • Establish and maintain systems for the multi agency team for the purpose of supporting the efficient day to day running of the service (inputting support workers timesheets, Health petty cash)
  • Design electronic forms and templates for the purpose of the service, including inputting information on the computerized systems in preparation for families individual electronic file records (WCCIS).
  • Keep electronic systems such as Database on Health Board system and Local Authority up to date by inputting new referrals and other information; open cases and scanning documents involved with individual cases.
  • Keep statistics from the above systems to assist managers for monitoring of service.
  • General duties such as typing reports, photocopying and filing
