Damicor are currently recruiting for a Training & Competency Specialist - Rail Engineering for our clinet based at Heathrow AirportOverall Role Purpose
In this role you will analyse, design, develop, implement and evaluate training for safety critical roles in the Rail Engineering department.
You will also formally assess and record staff competence of safety critical roles against recognised industry standards,including the Railway and Other Guided Transport Systems (ROGS).
As a Training and Competency Specialist, you will measurably improve the proficiency and focus of Heathrow Rail's safety critical roles through inspirational, value for money delivery of technical,safety and development training and assessment solutions, when and where required, in accordance with the competence management system.
Assess the proficiency and capability of safety critical roles and the impact on the business of delivered training andassessment in order to improve safety, performance and engagement.
Primary Focus- Manage People (if selected provide detail below)
- Provide Technical Expertise
- To provide technical systems training and assessment, including safety and development, to ensure that
- rectification to the required standards.
- Able to implement inspirational technical, safety and development training shaped for the delegates; you
- Competency Lead in identifying and evaluating trends in performance and value.
- List and briefly explain principle accountabilities of the role;
- Responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training for safety
- Responsible for the delivery of competence assessments of safety critical roles against competence
- Responsible for developing the key nontechnical skills (e.g. communication, teamwork, situational
- Responsible for supporting the Technical Competency Lead in the continuous improvement of the
- Responsible for identifying and implementing tools and techniques to encourage safety critical roles to
- performed against industry standards, including non-technical skills.
- Responsible for supporting line managers with the creation and implementation of individual
- Liaise with the Technical Competency Lead to allow for all training and assessment material to be recorded
- Continuously monitor and develop own technical and educational proficiencies. Taking part in working
- Completion of other activities as directed by the Technical Competency Lead to support the delivery of
- Heathrow Rail's objectives.
