SEN Teaching Assistant - College - Shrewsbury - £450 - £500 per week

Shape A Life is supporting a fantastic college in Shrewsbury that need learning support assistants for the remainder of the academic year.

There is also a need for September 2024.

You will join a team of specialist staff supporting learners with SEMH, seizures, and neurological disorders.

This role is perfect for anyone interested in SEN.

You will need:

To be motivated to make a positive difference to the students.
Ideally First Aid Trained
Care deeply about students' wellbeing and personal development.
An interest in SEN.
Good communication skills and set high expectations.
Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and work as part of a team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

1:1 and small group pupil support under the direct supervision of teaching staff
Supporting independent learning and providing feedback to the teacher.
Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
Supporting the teacher with managing behaviour and keep pupils on task.
Assisting in the planning and learning activities
Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance and integration of all pupils.

Successful applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check, right-to-work checks and a minimum of two suitable references.

Salary:
£450.00-£500.00 per week
