About the Role:

Eriez Magnetics Europe are offering a high-quality Apprenticeship in:

  • Fabrication and Welding
You will work alongside and learn from experienced and talented engineers.

Every day you will develop your practical skills with on-the-job training and learn about the importance of Health and Safety in the manufacturing environment.

During your Apprenticeship, you will be studying towards formal qualifications that will set you up to become a successful tradesperson.

The skills you will gain during the Apprenticeship Scheme include:

  • Fabrication of sheet and structural steel
  • Bending and forming steel
  • Sheet development work
  • The use of hand tools and machinery
  • MIG/TIG welding
  • To be able to read engineering Drawings
  • The ability to work within a team

The apprenticeship will run as follows:

  • Year 1
  • Four days on site at Eriez Magnetics with day release to college

  • Four days on site at Eriez Magnetics with day release to college


  • Year
  • Four days on site at Eriez Magnetics with day release to college


  • Year

  • Full time at Eriez Magnetics

Entry Requirements:

You should have completed a first year engineering disciplined course.

Achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths, English and Science.


Salary:

1styear - £12,060 (increasing each year)

1styear apprentice rate = 41% of full craftsperson rate

2ndyear apprentice rate = 73% of full craftsperson rate

3rdyear apprentice rate = 85% of full craftsperson rate

4th year provers rate = 93% of full craftsperson rate
