About us
The Aim:
To execute the smooth administration of internal and external examination and assessment processes, upholding their integrity by strictly adhering to regulatory and school processes and procedures.
Accountable to:
- Examinations Officer and Centre Coordinator
Supported by:
- Examinations Officer, Centre Coordinator and Administrative Staff.
Safeguarding
- To be familiar with school policies, in particular safeguarding procedures, and promote the welfare of learners.
Key duties & responsibilities:
Before the Exam
- Report to, and be briefed by, the Centre Coordinator prior to each exam session.
- Keep confidential exam question papers and materials secure before, during and after exams Ensure exam rooms are set up according to the requirements.
- To start an examination and read out any notices.
During the Exam
- To ensure that the examination regulations laid down by the relevant examining boards are observed.
- Keep disruption in exam rooms to a minimum.
- To distribute additional paper/equipment as required.
- Accompany any student who may need to leave the examination room.
- Record/report any incidents, disruption or irregularities.
- Complete attendance registers.
- Check attendance during examinations.
After the Exam
- Collect and collate exam papers at the end of the examination in accordance with strict procedures.
- To return completed exam papers, exam scripts and exam stationary to a secure area at the end of an examination.
Other tasks
- Undertake training, update and review sessions as required.
- Undertake relevant online invigilator training and assessment as directed.
- Other examsrelated administrative tasks including maintaining question paper security by supporting the 'second pair of eyes check'.

- Experience of working or studying in an education environment Desirable
- Experience of working as an Exam Invigilator Desirable
