Olayan Unit is looking for a highly motivated clinical junior manager ideally with band 6 Senior staff nurse experience and a background of SACT and Stem cell transplant experience.


T he Junior clinical managers responsibility will be to support the senior management team to provide strong proactive clinical leadership of the nursing and support worker team, which is motivating, supportive and sets clear boundaries resulting in high quality safe patient care.

The post-holder will co-ordinate the nursing team by liaising with other members of MDT to ensure continuity of care for patients and on-going managerial support whilst upholding the trust's values of pioneering change, pursuing excellence, working collaboratively, and showing kindness.


To assist the Sister/Charge Nurse in creating and maintaining a safe, therapeutic clinical environment for all patients and their families who come to the area.

The postholder will work with the Sister/ Charge Nurse to co-ordinate all functions and activities to ensure a smooth running service to patients and their families.

To assist the Sister/Charge Nurse in managing resources within the clinical area in a cost effective way.

This includes maintaining and monitoring equipment and being proactive in managing staff rosters to minimise the use of temporary staffing.


To assist in providing strong proactive clinical leadership of the nursing and support workers that is motivating, supportive and sets clear boundaries resulting in high quality safe patient care.

The post-holder will deputise for the Sister/Charge Nurse and co-ordinate the nursing teams by liaising with all staff nurses and clerical staff to ensure continuity of care for patients and on-going managerial support for staff.

To provide strong leadership of the nursing and support workers within the department


This includes:
Identifying training and development needs of staff in line with departmental and Trust Objectives and ensuring all new staff receive core and departmental induction

Ensuring staff are appraised annually, have clear objectives which link to department, division/directorate or corporate objectives and a personal development plan
