Circa £28,000 - £35,000 (Dependent on Experience)


Specialist Accountancy Practice recruitment consultancy Clark Wood are working with an established and modern firm of Chartered Accountants in Torquay who are looking to add an Accounts Senior to their personable and professional team.


As an Accounts Senior your role will be varied but will predominantly consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

The workload will include the preparation and review of both statutory and management accounts as well as tax compliance and you will also be involved in the provision of business advisory services to clients.


This role offers the successful individual an excellent level of responsibility and autonomy as you will work towards having responsibility for your own portfolio of clients as well as being involved in the supervision of junior members of the team.

They will provide full training on relevant online software as well as study support to individuals looking to pursue or continue with the ACA / ACCA qualification.


Duties & Responsibilities:
The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.

Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involvement with business advisory work


Skills:
AAT Qualified, ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
