Description
We are currently looking for a Junior Bioinformatician to join a Start-up Biotech company based in the Cambridgeshire area.

As the Junior Bioinformatician you will assist the processing and analysis of multi-omics data to support drug discovery activitiesin the space of innate immune cells in the tumour microenvironment.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Junior Bioinformatician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Work with senior team members to establish robust workflows for analysing public and propriety genomics data to advance the drug discovery platform.
  • Design, optimise and troubleshoot bioinformatic analysis.
  • Ensure code is well maintained and establish robust pipelines.
  • Process and integrate bulk and scRNA-Seq data as well as performing pathway analysis.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience analysing high throughput genomics data (e.g. single cell or bulk RNA-seq)
  • Experience of research in an academic or commercial environment.
  • Excellent scripting skills in R, Python and other computational techniques.
