The Role
At Easby Electronics we are seeking a Buyer to join our purchasing team.

The role will involve working closely internally with purchasing, sales, warehouse and finance colleagues, and externally with suppliers and customers.

We are a successful, growing company, and this role will support our core business of electronic component distribution, by ensuring we can source and deliver the items our customers need.

Key Responsibilities

Stock ordering and backtoback ordering
Negotiating with suppliers to achieve value for money, including on payment, delivery and shipping terms
Reviewing lead times, minimum order quantities, shipping etc. to ensure the most suitable supplier is selected
Liaising and negotiating with shipping companies
Monitoring stock levels
Maintaining and managing purchase orders
Building and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers (both adhoc and franchise suppliers), customers and colleagues
Ship and debit
Supporting the purchasing manager and wider team with adhoc tasks as required

The Person
The key skills, knowledge and experience we're looking for are:

Experience of procurement
Excellent communication skills
Good organisational skills; able to manage own time and work effectively
Strong team player
Commitment to continuous improvement
Experience within electronic components distribution is advantageous but not essential
