Programme Overview
Vehicle Parts Consultants or Advisors liaise with customers and suppliers ensuring required vehicle parts are available.

The parts apprentice will learn about stock control systems and will develop skills at dealing with a range of people face to face or over the phone.

Within the role you will develop knowledge of motor vehicles to understand the purpose of the vehicle parts and how they function.


What skills will I learn?

  • Receiving and storing motor vehicle parts.
  • Selecting and issuing motor vehicle parts.
  • Processing returned goods materials
  • Giving a positive impression to customers
  • Stock control within a vehicle parts operation.
  • Participating in motor vehicle parts stocktaking activities.
  • Monitoring and solving all aspects of customer service issues.

How long will my apprenticeship last?
You will work through your apprenticeship for a duration of up to 4 years.


Working hours and Salary


Your hours will typically be 40 hours per week and you may also be required to work on a Saturday on a rota basis.

Your salary will be paid £6.50 per hour (may vary depending on age)


Career Progression
Once qualified as a Vehicle Parts Advisor, career options can be promoted positions within the company.


What Qualifications are required
Good Core Skills in IT, Communication, Numeracy, Problem Solving and Working with others.

Must be highly organised and have good attention to detail.

Excellent IT and Communication skills.

A really strong desire to work within the Automotive Industry.

£6.50 per hour
