JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION
MODERN APPRENTICE (Business Administration)

(15 month Apprenticeship)


REPORTING TO
Operations Manager


HOURS OF WORK
30 hours per week


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a 30 hours per week post, working shifts between 8:30am and 4:30pm (flexibility can be given). Annual Leave is 5.6 weeks per year.


SALARY
£8, per annum


LOCATION
26 West High Street, Forfar, DD8 1BA (potential for some hybrid working)


TRAINING
During the apprenticeship you will have a workplace mentor and will undertake a SVQ in Business and Administration.

You will be able to access Community First UK internal training as well as any external training on offer to the team.


JOB PURPOSE
To provide general administrative support to Community First UK

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assist with maintenance of office equipment/supplies
  • Petty cash recording
  • Attending Staff Team Meetings and taking Minutes.
  • Document collation (for funding reports for example, newsletter)
  • Updating/creating staff documents
  • Supporting implementation and maintenance of filing (electronic) systems
  • Filing (mostly electronic)
  • Working with our HR system to file employee paperwork
  • Collating/posting content for website & social media
  • Setting up meeting rooms with refreshments and equipment.
  • Working in line with GDPR
  • Supporting management with other clerical duties as required

Ability to undertake SVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration and any other relevant training




Experience/Skills
Experience of working as part of a small team



Experience of working on your own/using your own initiative



Ability to work under pressure



Ability to use IT packages, eg Microsoft 356, social media and a willingness to build on existing skills



Good organisational skills



A clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality



Good communication skills
