Join us as an Asset Based Lending Field Examiner

  • Take on a role with great development potential in our Asset Based Lending (ABL) Field Exam team
  • You'll be conducting client audits and surveys, building trust and understanding, identifying and escalating key risks
  • Join a supportive team and work in collaboration with the ABL portfolio managers
  • This is a Northern
- or Midlands-based role, but it'll require some nationwide travel on occasion, with a salary range of £44,080 - £66,120


What you'll do:


As an Asset Based Lending Field Examiner, you'll be visiting our clients and conducing client audits and surveys which'll help us better understand their circumstances and needs and manage any associated risks.

You'll do this through analysing trends and making appropriate recommendations to your clients and the relevant teams.

As well as this, you'll be managing field audits and making sure that they're prioritised according to the level of risk they present.


You'll also be:

  • Working collaboratively with our Portfolio team and delivering a flexible approach to auditing
  • Making sure solutions are appropriate and costeffective for both our customers and bank
  • Escalating risks in a timely manner while providing recommendations as appropriate
  • Sharing your industry knowledge with the rest of our bank
  • Developing actions that should be taken in stressed situations to protect our bank's position

The skills you'll need:

To join us in this role, you'll need to have, or are working towards, a diploma in lending skills.

You'll have audit experience and an understanding of invoice financing and risk management processes, as well as client industry knowledge and experience in the corporate sector.


As well as this, you'll have good analytical skills, in particular those relating to the debtor book and fixed asset security, management information (MI) and trend analysis.


You'll also be expected to have:

  • An excellent awareness of key sector developments affecting customers in ABL and Invoice Finance
  • An understanding of MI and trend analysis
  • Great communication and organisation skills
  • The ability to work well on your own and as part of a larger team
