Description

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Director.

To identify leads, pitch goods or services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with existing and new contacts across the Group.

Travel to other sites across the Group and/or to existing/new clients will be required.

Sales director responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Sales director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.

Sales Director Responsibilities

Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services or new ways of reaching existing markets.
Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone.
Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.
Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
Think strategically, seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve business

Sales Director Requirements

Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
Minimum 15 years relevant experience, working at a senior level.
Previous experience working for a logistics Company, and/or in the logistics Industry.
Previous experience of running and managing a sales team.
Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates.
Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing clientfocused, differentiated and achievable solutions
Written and verbal communication skills needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills.
