Are you passionate about working with dogs and making a positive impact on their lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor to join our clients team.

Our client is well established and has been a trusted name in animal welfare for years.

The organisation has grown significantly and has three rescuing and rehoming centres across the South East with approximately 500 skilled staff members and 1000 dedicated volunteers.

They have successfully cared for over three million vulnerable animals.


The role:

As a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients operational teams. Your responsibilities will include assessing and ensuring the welfare of the dogs in their care. Additionally, you will provide expert behavioural training and advice to staff, volunteers, customers, and external organizations. Your expertise will help create a nurturing environment for our dogs and contribute to their successful rehoming.

This is a full time role where you will be working 40 hours a week (including weekends and bank holidays)


Requirements:


  • Experience of working within a canine rescue environment
  • A relevant qualification in Canine Behaviour and Training at degree level or higher.
  • Experience of developing commercial training programmes
  • Experience of taking and communicating difficult decisions, including those related to euthanasia, using sound judgment and a diplomatic approach
