BCP Council needs an Operational Team Leader to work in its Environment Team based at the Poole Recycling Centre (Nuffield).

Daily duties include a variety of customer-facing activities such as assisting residents with enquiries, ensuring site access criteria are followed and dealing with challenging situations or complaints.

The Team Leader role also involves increasing separation, recycling and reuse of waste brought into site, managing payments for chargeable wastes, arranging reactive maintenance and cleaning, and liaising with contractors to clear waste from site.

As Team Leader, your working week would run Tuesday to Saturday, you would lead site operations independently at the weekend and may deputise for the Supervisor during the week.

Applicants must be self-motivated, a team player, have strong communication skills and preferably an interest in waste management issues.

There are opportunities to develop your skills and training can be provided, including plant driver/operator training, as required.
