SShakespeare's Globe is looking for a
Freelance Academic Researcher
to join our
Education team


The successful applicant is likely to be an early career academic with a PhD related to SShakespeare or early modern drama, preferably with established interests in at least one of these areas.


The project funding allows for a total of twelve days of research (three per area) over about four months at £141/day (£1694).

This would start as soon as possible and be complete by the end of May. Some remote working is possible, but most meetings will be in person on-site at
SShakespeare's Globe, 21 New Globe Walk, Bankside, SE1 9DT
The researcher will report to the project manager and liaise closely throughout.

Aspects of the role will include:

  • Reading the initial drafts of the guides to identify supplementary research areas
  • Meetings with the project manager
  • Bibliographic research
