Tempting Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a

local authority in

South West London, to recruit an experienced

Environmental Health Officer. If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year,

Contract: 3-6 months (Possible Extension)

Salary:
£38 p/h (Umbrella)

Start Date:
February 2023

Shift Pattern: 36 hours / Full-time (09:00am - 17:00pm)

DUTIES

To undertake site inspections, surveys and investigations under the full range of legislative provisions.
To investigate and resolve complaints relating to the housing and pollution issues.
To participate in activities promoting energy efficiency, and healthy housing and housing grants.
To prepare statutory notices having regard to environmental health legislation and current case law.
To provide the Head of Service with reports, information, advice or guidance as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
At least 2 years previous experience within an Environmental Health role or equivalent.
Hold a UK Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health, or equivalent.
Extensive knowledge of UK Environmental Health legislation and good practice relating to the work of the Section.
Ability to carry out site inspections/investigations and to take follow up action in accordance with legislation.
